Parenting is beautiful. And challenging. One moment your toddler throws a Lego block window at your face. Then, unprompted hugs your legs and murmurs, “I sorry, mama.” And somehow, amidst the Lego thrown and the apology whispered, there’s another email from a manager waiting for a reply, another ding from the iPhone asking for response, a half-finished grocery list waiting to be done.
So, what does it mean to parent mindfully? What does the journey of parenting have to teach us? How might cultivating a kind, curious attention allow us to connect more with our child, and ourselves? And, in the exact phase of life when time is limited commodity, how do we do it? Let’s explore together!
The “Tiny Buddha: Mindful Parenting” series is a free community-based workshop offering. Each month we will explore a new topic from the lens of mindful parenting. Workshops include short talks, inquiry and meditation practices, and discussion. You’ll leave with greater connection to your intention for parenting and meditation practices to try on at home. Bring a journal, a big heart, and a willingness to explore.
